Today, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission voted unanimously to place a $20 billion affordable housing bond measure on the ballot of all nine Bay Area counties this November. Irving Torres, Director of Regional Engagement at All Home, made the following statement:
“This November, Bay Area voters will have a historic opportunity to vote for proven solutions to our biggest problems. All Home just released a new Regional Action Plan that shows exactly what it will take to dramatically reduce homelessness across the Bay, and this new bond measure will be a huge down payment to achieve that goal. For anyone feeling frustrated about the high cost of housing, about the human tragedy playing out on our streets—this is our chance to turn things around.”
All ballot measure activity was conducted by our sister organization, the All Home Action Fund, which is fiscally sponsored by Beyond Impact, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization.
