Bay Area Eviction Research & Opportunities to Protect Tenants – May 2025 webinar

On May 6, 2025 as part of Affordable Housing Month (sponsored by East Bay Housing Organizations), All Home hosted a webinar with the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority, the Stanford Community Law Clinic, and EBASE’s Raise the Roof Coalition. BAHFA and the Stanford Clinic presented research about the current landscape of legal evictions, informal evictions, and legal services capacity in the region. In many jurisdictions, evictions surpass the pre-pandemic levels, since eviction moratoria and pandemic-era protections have ended. The Raise the Roof Coalition in Contra Costa County discussed their current advocacy priorities, and how they use data and research to advance their work. Panelists also shared the top priorities to advance tenant protections in their jurisdictions.
