Delta Landing is a state-of-the-art 172-unit interim housing facility that provides basic healthcare, housing navigation, and case management provided on-site to help residents recover from homelessness and find permanent housing. Having received a $21.5 million Homekey grant in 2020, the site opened in December 2021 after extensive site renovation of what was formerly a motel. One of the first sites completed with Homekey funds, the site provides crucial interim housing in the eastern part of Contra Costa for adults, people with disabilities, and people with pets. In addition to new paint, roof, furnishings, laundry facilities, and a fire-safety sprinkler system, clients can make use of a new wellness center for physical and behavioral health needs. In its first year, Delta Landing served 596 people, 333 of whom exited to permanent housing after an average stay of 233 days.
