The Landlord Partnership Program aims to expand rental opportunities for families holding housing choice vouchers by making landlord participation in the program more attractive and feasible, and by making the entire program more streamlined. The program aims to support both individuals with housing choice vouchers and landlords with open units. The partnership increases landlord participation in the Housing Choice Voucher program by providing incentives including up to $2,500 for security deposits, up to $3,500 for loss and damage mitigation, vacancy loss coverage, and a 24-hour hotline for landlords to resolve any issues. The program has successfully increased the supply of permanent housing in Marin County by 100% between 2016 and 2021. Due to the program’s success, it was extended through September 30, 2025, with an additional $350,000 of funding allocated.
