Safe Parking Pilot Program

The Safe Parking Pilot Program launched on March 7, 2022 to provide community members who are living in their vehicles a safe place to park. The 50 parking spots also have basic services including food, sanitiation and shower services. Wrap-aroud services are also provided to nearby individuals experiencing homelessness to help them transition into permanent housing. The Safe Pilot Program is funded for two years through the city’s General Fund, $2 million in one-time American Rescue Plan funds and $500,000 from the County for the wrap-around services.
