Shores Landing is a senior supportive housing community at the former Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel in Redwood City. Since May 2021, Shores Landing’s 95 rooms have housed some of San Mateo County’s most vulnerable residents: seniors aged 62 and older who live on extremely low-incomes, who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, who have lost their homes due to COVID-19, and medically-frail seniors enrolled in the County’s Community Care Settings program. MidPen Housing and the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County (MHA) operate and manage Shores Landing, and offer residents a full suite of supportive services, including case management, housing stability support, individual service plans, community-based referrals, health education and wellness programming, life skills development, lease compliance services, and more. The County acquired the TownePlace Suites in December 2020 using Homekey Program funds from the State of California.
